How does Ameela® work?
Ameela® is an anti ageing injectable made from animal-based polynucleotides (derived from the cells of salmon). Polynucleotides are one of the effective treatments used in regenerative medicine. It contains substances that trigger the body to repair itself rather than being the treatment.
When injected into the skin, polynucleotides deeply penetrate the skin and trigger fibroblast cell metabolic activities. Since fibroblast cells are responsible for collagen production, Polynucleotides stimulate the release of healthy collagen that increases skin firmness and brightens skin tone.
Polynucleotides have wound-healing effects as it triggers the skin to repair any scar tissue and patches. Organic molecules in the polynucleotide will also bind together several water molecules in order to hydrate and moisturise the skin.
Unlike filler-based injections, Ameela® and other polynucleotides do not stay in the body until it is gradually dissolved or removed, it leaves the skin once it triggers necessary skin responses.

What to expect during Ameela® treatment
The first step is to schedule a consultation with Dr Vahe. He will examine your skin and your medical history. He will also discuss possible side effects and the result you should expect. On the scheduled date of your treatment, the first step is to clean the treatment area and apply an anaesthetic cream to prevent pain. This will be followed by the injections with very fine needles. The injection will be administered with a syringe in the most comforting way to prevent any form of pain and discomfort. The injected area will also be gently massaged after the treatment.
